ART OF ITALIAN CUISINE
ITALIAN CUISINE
Italian cuisine refined—blending tradition and innovation. Seasonal ingredients and handmade pastas combine with modern techniques, curated wines, and artful presentation for an elegant, authentic, and contemporary fine dining experience.
FOLLIA
Follia means inspired madness—passion that defies convention. In our kitchen, it’s the courage to reimagine tradition with elegance, transforming each dish into a bold, refined expression of creativity, emotion, and culinary freedom.

FOLLIA STORY
Bruno Abate combined his passion for authentic Italian cuisine with a flair for modern design when he opened his first restaurant, Follia, in the Meatpacking District. He later launched Tocco in Winnetka, and now brings the Follia name back with a new location in Lake Forest.
LAKE FOREST
Lake Forest offers an upscale, sophisticated community that appreciates fine dining. Follia chose this location for its charm, affluence, and strong support for quality cuisine in an elegant, welcoming setting.

BRUNO ABATE
Bruno Abate, born in Naples and raised in Milan, developed a passion for food and fashion inspired by his parents. He started his first business in Milan, supplying fish and caviar to upscale restaurants. Extensive global travels deepened his appreciation for fine food and design, leading him to Chicago in 1999, where he fused these passions. In Chicago, Bruno realized his vision by opening Follia in the Meatpacking District, followed by Tocco in Winnetka.
Now, he brings Follia to Lake Forest, continuing his mission to craft authentic Italian cuisine with the finest ingredients, offering diners an experience that transports them straight to Italy.
Good Food. Good Wine. Good Shoes Makes Life Better
If you haven’t tried Italian cuisine, you haven’t really lived.
Wherever I go, I am Italian. The way I talk, the way I eat, the way femininity is important to me. The way I love Italian food.
